Crosses We Bear

Ugh, as times get tough here in today's world with economy and illness outbreaks, stress starts getting heavier and the pressure becomes overwhelming. People are left thinking they have no more choices but to just give up....the easy way out (not really the right way out). Some have no where or no one to turn to for help, these are drastic times for those who are unfortunately being affected by the situations in today's world.

But have no fear, Christ is here!!

Remember He went through the same kind of situation in His life. He had to take on the pressures of society who was against His teachings and way of life. He had to pay the ultimate price for us all. He went through his final living days carrying a huge, heavy cross on His shoulders. Did He want that, no, He prayed to the Father the night before His death. He was scared and asked the Lord to take away the burden on Him, although He accepted whatever the Lord willed for Him. So He went on with His journey to Paradise accepting what the Lord planned for Him, in total trust that God would be with Him and send Him to Paradise.

We must look at our lives today and realize that although we are overwhelmed and scared, not wanting to go on through life this way, that we must put our faith in God and trust that He will get us through the tough obstacles we face. The crosses we bear won't be easy to carry, remember Christ fell carrying His. But also remember, Christ got up, didn't complain and kept on going. This too, we must do when we fall down emotionally, financially and sometimes spiritually. Don't just stop or complain, get up and keep going, have faith in God, for you can overcome these times by asking God for His help and guidance.
Don't be blind to God, as He will answer you in many different ways, just be patient and willing to accept what He plans for you. All that is good, will come in due time when God sees it is time.
Some people may feel that little faith in their lives is what keeps them from being strong and moving forward but I've always gone back to this verse in the Bible, from Matthew 17, Verse 20. (paraphrased) That with little faith the size of a mustard seed...nothing is impossible.
Nothing is impossible, trust in God and everything will turn out fine....yes we will go through some hard times but accept the challenge to build up your faith and trust. Pray that you can continue to carry your cross with faith that Christ will walk with you and help you along the way as Simon did when Christ needed help with His cross.
In the end, God will make you feel BRAND NEW!

Song Plug: from my New Leaf album, here is a song I wrote that goes well with today's blog. It is called "Brand New". I will post in on myspace for you to listen. www.myspace.com/seedzoffaith. If you want to read the lyrics, let me know and I can email them to you.
