ANSWER THE CALL




God was calling me this whole time and I never answered the phone, I kept sending Him to my voicemail. It took some angels of God who I love dearly, to give me His message and now I will answer Him.

For quite some time now, I haven't gone to visit the Lord at His house. I was afraid to accept what I believe He has planned for me. I think God has had enough of me putting my answer off and with my stalling. He has given me many obstacles and signs that have pretty much driven me towards Him.

God, I believe I am ready for your will. Whatever you have planned for my life, I will accept with open arms.

Lord, I AM READY, your prodigal son has returned:

--I have recklessly forgotten Your glory, O Father;
And among sinners I have scattered the riches which You gave to me.
And now I cry to You as the Prodigal:
I have sinned before You, O merciful Father;
Receive me as a penitent and make me as one of Your hired servants.--


Christ had called me once and I answered, like he did with Peter in Galilee, but I was still fresh and wasn't really prepared to take in all his Glory.
And again, like Peter, I had often times denied Christ, when I really loved Him.

I have matured spiritually and have decided to visit God to get a clear understanding of what it is He wants me to do for Him...

....and I think I have an idea of what it is...

AH, Relief!!

Yesterday evening I went to Mass of Reconciliation to ask for the Lord's forgiveness. I'm glad I went, I almost forgot how refreshing it feels to let out your feelings to the Lord and to be forgiven. I know there will be times in life where I will be challenged and once again fight hard against sin. Before confessions began, the Church ran a little Stations of the Cross play and the devotionals they mentioned after each Station really helped me to stay focused in my life and to become a better man of God. Determination, Patience and Discipline

To get everyone on the same page: Last year in May, Sandy and I took the kids to the Witte museum, they had this scale that measured your weight and gave a comparison to how much beef that equaled to. Jesus jumped on and of course was a lightweight, not much beef..haha. Then I jumped on and was shocked by the numbers :( I was 267 lbs.!! I knew I was heavy, but the last time I had checked my weight, I remember I was 227 lbs. Not only that, but my feet started hurting alot and I was slowing down big time on the basketball court. This was my signal to do something about my weight or later pay the consequences. I had gotten injured playing basketball in March the previous year and I was out for 6 months, during that period is where I believe I let myself go. So since May of last year to now, I weigh 238 lbs!! I went through rehab for my injury, then I had given up sodas for lent and have given it up for good since. I started a workout program to get myself back into shape to play

Call On Him

by MikeC Ok, I feel I need to write this down, I believe the Holy Spirit is asking me to send this message to you. If you haven't called on God yet and conversed with Him, I tell you now to please dial Him up and patch things up. If you have called Him but felt you got the cold shoulder every time, I tell you now, swallow your pride and call Him back but this time trust in Him and give Him all your love. Yeah there were times I called on God and didn't get any answers right there and then, BUT, with patience and trust in His will, you will get an answer. I'll be honest, recently I've thought about putting down the mic, and pretty much ending my ministry. As you may or may not know, I'm a big advocate of spending one on one time during Adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament to really converse deeply with our Lord and deeply offering up my prayers and asking the Lord for His guidance.  The devil is always going to try and knock you down, by throwing you curve bal
