Crosses We Bear

** REMINDER - Become a follower of my blogs as they get posted, just click on the section to the left ** Ugh, as times get tough here in today's world with economy and illness outbreaks, stress starts getting heavier and the pressure becomes overwhelming. People are left thinking they have no more choices but to just give up....the easy way out (not really the right way out). Some have no where or no one to turn to for help, these are drastic times for those who are unfortunately being affected by the situations in today's world. But have no fear, Christ is here!! Remember He went through the same kind of situation in His life. He had to take on the pressures of society who was against His teachings and way of life. He had to pay the ultimate price for us all. He went through his final living days carrying a huge, heavy cross on His shoulders. Did He want that, no, He prayed to the Father the night before His death. He was scared and asked the Lord to take away the burde

A very great friend of mine sent this to me and what good timing. I dedicate this to all those in my life who have stood by me in times of good and times of bad. Especially God the Father. God bless you all. Remember you can't go through life alone, you need someone there to stand by you through it all. Check out this awesome video!!! http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2539741

When The Children Cry

So... Last night I went to play basketball with my cousin, brother-in-law and 2 of our friends. We played at one court in the westside and didn't do so well (kind of rusty after not playing for a month, i know excuses lol). So then we went to another court further into the westside. We pulled up and I get out of the car and I see these two young women in a truck and about 3 or 4 kids running out towards the playground (by this time it is already dark). One woman yells at the kids, "Get your a**es back over here!!", but they kept running off. So she yells a second time, "Okay, then go on and get f***ed up!! and get lost in the f***in creek!!!". I was walking to the court while this was happening and looked back to see if she was gonna just leave them, but they just stayed in the parking lot and the kids just went to the jungle gym to play. Then we get to the court and there is this pavilion to the side and about 4 or 5 teens sitting and talking, I'm sho

FiEsTa!!!!

Ah, Fiesta San Antonio 2009! I had a good time with my familia last Sunday at the Fort Sam Houston Fireworks show. I didn't get to do Oyster Bake this year, due to financial issues. I did, however, participate in PiƱatas in the Barrio where I was signing posters I had designed for the event. I got a chance to speak to the crowd, my second time this year so I think I am warming up for performance when the time comes for my music...wink wink. Anyways, we went to the grocery store before the fireworks show and we were checking out. This bagger was there and he was getting a bit confused on how to arrange the bags in the cart, so he said,"Sorry my mind isn't all there today." I replied jokingly, "Fiesta time huh?"and he then said, "No, my nephew was murdered last night, 2 guys stabbed him to death. But the criminals were caught." I felt like big time crap after that. He was distraught but it didn't really show on the outside. He was talkative

Quite a Break!

Wow, Last week was so awesome remembering the Passion of our Lord and celebrating His Resurrection this past weekend. Everyone comes to together for Easter to cookout, be with family, crack cascarones (some soft and some hard (wink wink...Shell)). But we need to not only remember the times together as a family around this time, but as we do on Christmas, we need to Remember Him. The Lord went through so much in His life and not once did He complain. I find it hard for me in life to go without complaining, yes it's tough, but at the end of the day or at those moments, I try to take the time to ask the Lord for both His forgiveness and guidance. That I can continue to build patience and love to help strengthen my Faith. How easy it is to forget our Lord's example in life. We can go to church and know things about our Faith, but as soon as the opportunity comes, we become weak and fall into the traps of Satan. We get angry, swear, lie, gossip and all without once consideri

AH, Relief!!

Yesterday evening I went to Mass of Reconciliation to ask for the Lord's forgiveness. I'm glad I went, I almost forgot how refreshing it feels to let out your feelings to the Lord and to be forgiven. I know there will be times in life where I will be challenged and once again fight hard against sin. Before confessions began, the Church ran a little Stations of the Cross play and the devotionals they mentioned after each Station really helped me to stay focused in my life and to become a better man of God. So today, I did a little research and found the Stations of the Cross with devotionals to help us get through not only the Lenten season but through our journey of faith in life. If you are interested, send me an email or comment and I will be glad to send you the PDF file I put together. May you all have Happy Easter and God bless! ...and Praise Christ who has died, who has risen and will come again!

Determination, Patience and Discipline

To get everyone on the same page: Last year in May, Sandy and I took the kids to the Witte museum, they had this scale that measured your weight and gave a comparison to how much beef that equaled to. Jesus jumped on and of course was a lightweight, not much beef..haha. Then I jumped on and was shocked by the numbers :( I was 267 lbs.!! I knew I was heavy, but the last time I had checked my weight, I remember I was 227 lbs. Not only that, but my feet started hurting alot and I was slowing down big time on the basketball court. This was my signal to do something about my weight or later pay the consequences. I had gotten injured playing basketball in March the previous year and I was out for 6 months, during that period is where I believe I let myself go. So since May of last year to now, I weigh 238 lbs!! I went through rehab for my injury, then I had given up sodas for lent and have given it up for good since. I started a workout program to get myself back into shape to play

F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Okay, Here is my first official blog for today. Actually I took this from my MySpace blog and thought I'd bring it over here to share with everyone. Just a little insight on our relationships with our the people we call "friends" in our lives and the relationship we should have with the greatest friend in life, Christ. Thanks. I visited a church last night to see my little sister-in-law perform a dance and skit for the youth in the service. It was a very beautiful performance and God has truly blessed her and her friends and I pray that he continue to bless them as they grow in their personal and spiritual lives. The theme at the church was Friends and the 7 qualities that make a true friend. We all have friends we call Best or Close, almost like family. But look hard and see if these friends have the 7 qualities that were noted. F - Faithful: Is your friend truly faithful and loyal to those ar

My First Day

Hello, This is my first entry for this new site I came across. I thought this would be a great place to share my thoughts and inspirations with everyone who cannot access my other web portals. I feel this would be a good way to go back and forth with different people on ideas, thoughts and feelings about different situations in life. Hope you can enjoy and send your feedback in this whole new manner. Thank you and God bless, Cruzito "El Artisto" Seedz of Faith -Mt.17:20-
