Laredo 2016

The day we had been planning on and waiting for has finally come and gone, and too soon it felt, but every moment was well worth spent being with our young brothers and sisters in Christ at Sacred Heart Children's Home. They are growing so fast, amazing how three years just flies by. We had a larger group join us and much more support than last year's event. We pray these moments spent together will last a lifetime for these beautiful children of God. The whole goal of our ministry is not only evangelizing through music but to plant our seedz of faith into the hearts of those we minister and speak to daily. I'm sure I speak for the rest of the group when I say I always take a piece of Laredo with me when I leave. I remember last year like it was yesterday and I still carry a note from one of the children in my wallet. I even remember almost coming to tears when one of them asked me last year not to leave and that they wished they could come with us or that we stayed. We are their extended family, we are one in the Body of Christ, they will forever be in our prayers and hearts, each and every one of them.

A personal message to my young SOF peeps down in Laredo:
Continue to shine the light of Christ by the way you live you life, remember that Christ showed us nothing but love, mercy, and forgiveness and it that is exactly what we must do in our own lives. Through all the hard falls we take, through all the points in our lives where we slip and do things against the will of God, for all the times we become selfish and careless; know that you can get right back up and start over, that our Lord is waiting with loving arms to embrace you and lead you back into the right path, as hard and difficult it may be, through the sufferings we may encounter because we try to be merciful, the reward at the end of it all is truly worth going through all we go through for the love and glory of God.
Open your hearts and listen to hear God's call, and when you do, put all your trust in Him, do it all for His glory and know that with faith even as small as a mustard seed, NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE!

ps. Keep smiling because it's contagious and when you do, you always reflect God's love!

May the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you,

MikeC
